Loved this experience!

This past weekend we took the boys for their first experience at Feed My Starving Children.  It is an organization that offers a wonderful opportunity for families and organizations to give their time and energy to help feed children living all over the world.  I can not say enough wonderful things about the experience.  I have done it twice and every time I think, I need to do this monthly.   But, now that the boys have taken part and loved it, we definitely want to make this happen more often.
The presentation at the start that goes over what Feed My Starving Children is gives great information at a very child friendly level.  When packing meals there is music pumping and people cheer as boxes are packed!  Family's work in teams to pack meals and at the end you get to try the food prepared and see the stats of your two hour volunteer time!

Henry loved tallying the bags of food we packed and he took in everyone around us.  Charley was a great worker!  If you live in the metro this is definitely something to look into.  And actually, they have volunteer spots all over the country!  So check it out!  I think they like children to be 5 years of age and this age needs a one to one parent helper.  But they can definitely be participating team members!

This is what our whole group packed during our two hour shift!
Amazing!

The boys were pretty serious during the whole thing.  But I know they loved it.  And it was very cool to see two birthday parties there.  Incredible!

This is one way to give your family a chance to experience volunteering for the world!
