when I snapped this picture and caught a glimpse of it on the back of my camera, I knew it would be a favorite. I want to make it big someday. She is little but she is doing big things.
So blogging has been on my brain. I have topics firing left and right. I need to write them down soon and then sit a spell and type.
Today, I shared my new favorite thing with Ed. He worries this is other people's favorite thing and if I actually followed through people would hate me. Do you want to know what it is? You will laugh. Okay, I LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. kicking the big chunk of sludge that gets built up near the tires of my car. I find it soooo fun and satisfying. Right now in our area I can drive around doing errands and by the time I am on errand 3...there is a good amount to kick off. Anyways, I told Ed I would love an hour and a large parking lot of cars with big built up sludge chunks to kick off.
A few of my cousins have been working out and eating right and losing weight and sharing on Facebook. I have been trying to get motivated and hearing their stories has inspired me. Well, not my cousin's husband, Jeff. He posts some ridiculous videos. But, all the ladies...you keep it up! So inspiring!
Today, Syd had her second dance class and she was so excited. On the way there she said her tummy hurt, I knew she had to go to the bathroom (if you know what I mean). And I think that on top of the getting up too early because she has a tad of a runny nose...well, she saw me through the door window and I watched her process me on the other side of the door and my heart broke. We tried several things to get her through class, but our girl was happiest holding my hand and hiking out to the car and coming home.
I know Spring is quite a ways off. But the sun has been shining more. I have made it to the gym a tad more lately and am feeling like I am hitting a good stride. It helps my mood so much. I got a new phone and no longer worry that at any moment it will die and I will not be reachable for my kiddos. Henry was EXCITED for ski and I will share a picture later or tomorrow that will make your jaw drop. He might even race this weekend during the final race of the season where guests can try it out to see if they want to join the team next year. Friends if you are interested you have to register today.
My mom came to visit this past weekend. It was the most relaxing visit I have ever hosted. I don't think we left the house after our dinner out on Friday night...until she left on Sunday. And even Ed was in pjs all day. He will say he did shower, but he put back on pjs. It was so cold and we really enjoyed playing games this visit. The kids, especially Charley, are getting more fun to play games with. Or rather, games that are enjoyable to adults.
I have been making dinner again. I know that sounds lame and dumb...but, I had been resorting to lots of pre made things and making things for the kids and then Ed. And the last couple weeks I have been better about meal planning a few meals. I am starting to feel more like myself again. I wonder what it is.
I have talked to my sister on the phone more lately. If you know her, you know that she doesn't talk on the phone much. FOR the reason that her kids are in the background usually causing chaos...as are mine, and the conversation gets so broken up that you end up feeling more stressed than not. But the last couple days we have been able to talk.
My brother is moving back to MN this summer. So excited! What an adventure they have ahead of them. Can't wait to hear more updates as they start solidifying things.
My photography business adventure has blown my mind. Like periodically during the day I find I have zoned out and am just wondering, "HOW THE HECK DID THIS HAPPEN!?" I never really imagined taking this step and it just seems to continue to grow and expand. This past month I had a mentor from Ohio who worked with me on my mindset, lifestyle photography approach, my website, and whatever else I asked. I can't believe that it fell into place and even though I wanted her to magically just look into a magic globe and tell me my future...she did give me some great insights on what I have done and how I am doing things. I feel more confident after much of what she shared. My confidence still dips big time every day at various times, but I am feeling more steady. I think my mom said I am bipolar with this photography thing. I go from ecstatic to super paranoid back to excited. And I have had so many friends that have shared that my 365 project is so inspiring, frankly, I can't believe I am on month three. I don't think I have even mentioned it much on here.
Alright, need to get ready for the rest of our day. Need to get Charley from school and then head back over to the ski hill. The temps are finally gorgeous and ed and Henry are out there now. Life is good.
