...any day now....

2012

Round these parts I feel like in the spring we go from 40 degrees to 80.
And in the fall we go from 100 degrees to 40 degrees.
I am NOT ready for that temp switch.
But I am ready for fall.
The beautiful, perfect, comfort of fall.

The jeans and sweatshirt weather.
The crinkly leaves.
The less sneezing because there has been a freeze and the allergies find relief.

I am ready to not have to shave my legs as often.
I am ready to hang outside without the worry of hats, sunscreen, and bug spray.

I am ready for my coffee to warm me.
My slippers.
And the darker hours where lamps light our morning and evening hours.
flannel.

I am ready for apple season...when the apples taste more apple-y.
I am ready for flannel and shoes that require socks.
And a bottle (or box) of red wine can be sipped slowly all week.
Where an apple pie, tart, or muffin can be baked without the worry of heating the house.
And this year homemade vanilla ice cream will top our treats.

I am ready for family outings to pick pumpkins, run corn mazes, and fill baskets with apples.
I am ready to sit on the sidelines and watch my boys play soccer with a coffee in hand and my girl cheering too.
I am ready for the smell of fall.
The refreshing feeling of opening the windows and letting the house air out and chill without letting in a bunch of allergy crap.

I am done with these 90 degree days.
Although, I am not ready for boots, snow suits, running in and out of schools with the bitter cold.
Mittens, hats, and all the gear that will overtake our walk in area.
I am not looking forward to winter driving and the lack of outside play time because it is too cold, too dark, too early.

Come on Mother Nature...give us a little perfect before you hit us with another Minnesota winter.

What fall bliss are you looking forward to?

Ready for the cooler temps, the snuggling in with blankets, the running through the leaves, the fall colors - love the hints we have gotten so far. I love fall, and with school in full swing, I am ready to take it on.

I'm looking forward to watching the NFL on TV, I just love it! The TV stays on one channel, I know many of the players' names now, and I can read while I watch. Then a bike ride or walk outside, between games is Fall bliss for me.BS
