face plant of a day

I got asked to take another senior's picture. Overwhelming.  A male this time.  So I was looking at Pinterest...a place I have been taking a break from because it has an overwhelming amount of inspiration with no ideas on finding the time, money, or energy to implement many of the ideas.  However, looking for some male senior picture poses led me there.

Pinned by more than a handful of my pinterest friends...was this saying:

Kids that need love the most,
ask for it in the most unloving ways.

Today, I could change that saying...

Mamas that need love the most, ask for it in the most unloving ways.

Today I am feeling off.  And unfortunately one of my main go to girls for encouragement (my little sis) is also having a down day.  Hope a nap turns her day around.  It is always a gift that most down days don't happen in mass mama numbers.

So this morning we got out of dodge and went to an indoor park that was the boys final summer demand.  I say demand, because that's my mood so everything comes out like a demand.  The indoor park opens at 7am.  We got there around 8:30...took a little longer because I tried to swing through a Starbucks drive thru...but, during rush hour...that drive thru had about 15 cars lined up.  So onward we drove, without coffee for mama.

We ran and played.  And I tried to turn my mood around.
We then braved the shoe store and miraculously walked out without shoes or tears...the boys will settle for ANY shoe just as long as they walk out with new ones when they go shoe shopping.
My stern talk about how we are looking for the fastest and most comfortable shoe - and weren't purchasing until Sunday worked.

Home for lunch, an attempted nap for Syd, some Minecraft time on the i-stuff.   Laundry is loaded and swishing away.  Dishwasher is humming.

And I am still struggling.  It just is a woke up on the wrong side of the bed kind of day.
Which makes me so mad because there is so much to be grateful for.  So much to be excited about.
So much to be relishing.

If I could just  shake it and breathe.

What do you do when you are having an off day?

I drink red wine and take a HOT bubble bath! I'm ordering both for you ASAP!

I love Jean Smith Photography. She does seniors, also google Senior photography in your area. This is something I do for my full time job. We have this one ALL BOYS school! After doing that job a few times boys were no problem. You just need practice, that's all!

Relax and enjoy your bath;)

I whine to someone, read, or take a nap. But a serving of buttered noodles helps me every time.

I text Raina and drink wine! Or ice cream. A huge helping of custard. Hope for happy tomorrows for both of you hard working mammas. JG

Take that first picture of Henry and add a bucket load of tears. That was me today. Hahhaha. I can laugh now but today I just let myself cry. Right in front of the kids, usually I plan my glass of wine. Even if its only 8 am I start counting down to wine time.

Often I take yr good advice abut getting out f the house but these days I'm actually scared to leave the house. Haha.

Tomorrow will be better, it always is. Rr
