This morning I laced up my runners and hit a path near our house.
My first attempt at a run outdoors, alone.
Proud to say that I ran almost 2 miles without stopping. I have never been a runner. Kinda proud.
I returned home to flip some pancakes and hunker down because...
Around these parts we have been blessed with some sturdy rains.
You can hear it pounding the ground, rushing out the gutters, thundering, and even the surprising ping of blueberry or raspberry sized hail.
Rainy days mean you have an excuse to hunker down and play lego's with your brother.
Or carry your doll around and pitter pat with bare feet.
And in between the rain storms...the boys ran outside to get their boy thing on with the neighbor lads. Check this out....their FIRST can of pop. They have had Sprite once or twice...but Charley, age 7, has never had a can of anything. The neighbor lady offered them some. Look how they are holding these special treats. I suppose it is normal to have a little pop every once in a while. But I will continue to try and avoid it.
Happy Saturday to you!

gave my kids their first can of pop today too. They have never had their own can before and they thought I was the coolest mom ever today. We were out doing MAJOR yard work/landscaping and mom decided she needed one too. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
Yeah soda is something I want to hold off on as long as possible. So that when they do get a ca...they hold it like your boys are. Enjoy those rainy days and hunkering in...we have had a couple too. Rr
Tot recently got some lemonade in a can. She thought she was the coolest kid EVER!
