Two recent REAL MOM incidents in my life that brought tears of laughter to my eyes....
First of all, sitting outside last night I had my butt in a lawn chair trying to capture Sydney walking all over for my mom. She needed an update on her walking skills. I forgot I was filming when I noticed the ball rolling away from her and had to get Henry's attention. My Real mom moment I thought I would share because it documents my mothering technique at this moment...You'll see that to stop her from following the ball into the street I chose not to get my rump off the chair and instead chose to react a different way. And then of course there is the whole stick being waved and run with. Please, just laugh with me.
Second, we had a whirlwind of a morning...with a thunderstorm going on we got Charley off to school, raced to a doc appointment for Henry, and then quickly got groceries. Raced home to get the cold stuff into the fridge. Henry changed into his swimsuit in the car while I unloaded the groceries. As we pulled out of the driveway I noticed that the world looked SO incredibly bright behind me. Like the storm was clearing as we moved down the street. I was blown away how dark it was in front of me and to the sides...but out the back it just was looking so bright and clear. Then we passed two men standing out in their driveway and I noticed they looked at me really long. Of course, my thought...look at that hot mom with the humidity inspired curly hair in her minivan....but no...I realized about three blocks into the ride that the back end was totally wide open. And of course it looks so bright and clear when there isn't any glass and the back end hatch blocks the rain...HAHA!
No worries, we are home now for the rest of the afternoon. Sydney is down for her nap and I will slow down now. Real mom moments ... just thought I would share.

Blaahh ha ha... I was laughing with you!! Who hasn't left a tailgate or a door open? :)
Your video reminds me of a video I took of the girls sword fighting.. ha ha, I should send it to you.

Tailgate funny, have yet to leave mine open but I have left the door open and gone into the library. Fun video, who doesn't love to capture true moments.
I'd just like to give you the mom of the year award. I specifically
Love that you told Henry to get the ball like you had already told him 10 times instead of asking him and he did it right away...and then you didn't say thank you!! Love it...thanks for sharing because you know we are all in that moment...keep it real! Rr.
LoL!!!!!!
