Happy Mother's Day

I am no longer playing house in the basement with my dolls or littler siblings.
My brother no longer has to play the dog and my sister my child.
I have a husband who helped my dream of being a mother come true.
A dream I had because I had the most incredible role model...my mom.
She was my mom because she was the best mom for me.  She still is.  She is still the person I crave to call when I have good, bad, sad, or funny things to share.
Happy Mother's day, mom.

And to my sister, now a mom of two, today you conquer big things.  And I know you will do it with grace, understanding, and the knowledge that being a mom is your greatest life's work but having your toes dipping into another part of who you are  - that part that pushes and challenges you in other ways...will be a wonderful balance and experience that will teach your boys that you are woman and you can roar as you juggle it all.

And to my mother-in-law who raised a man who is now my husband that continues to be relentless with his giving and patient role as my husband and father to our children.  Working long hours to provide for our family.  Returning home in the evenings to swoop in and shower us all with his presence.  You, Charlie, did amazing things and I am so glad that you are in my life to guide me so that my boys have the chance to turn out like their daddy.

And to all my friends - though our friendships seem to revolve around our children these days - this is our season-- but the support and encouragement that comes from having a tribe of mama friends is what gives me the power to know each day I will survive the ups and downs and of this journey.  And I know that someday our friendships won't revolve around nap times, sick kids, or play dates where our kids can play.  I cherish you all.

Happy Mother's Day to one and all.

Today:
After a blessed day of relaxing and enjoying my family, we take off on this sunshiny Monday.  We will embrace the busy and relish the quiet.  Balance the play with a little laundry folding and maybe even get a little weeding in.  Happy Monday folks.

I usually do not create a great deal of comments, but i
did some searching and wound up here "Happy Mother's Day".
And I do have a couple of questions for you if it's allright. Could it be just me or does it give the impression like some of the remarks come across like they are left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting on additional online social sites, I'd like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post.
