It's time for another fierce move...

Finding our calm and then living fierce.
Balancing this makes life beautiful.

Coming down off the high of making the trip to my parents,
we sure enjoyed some quiet moments this week.
Henry and I munched popcorn and played Candyland.

I followed through on 3 out of four of the recipes I set out to tackle this week.
And boy did it feel good to put more effort into our meals.
Unfortunately, this week I cooked for Ed and I and not so much for the family.
So next week I will conquer recipes that ALL of us will enjoy.

This was my favorite from the week and I especially loved the black beans.
I plan on making them more often just to have to add to our meals.

Easter weekend is upon us and that means it is time to fit some spring fun into our days.
This week I made the boys'  afterschool snack by filling the plastic Easter eggs with various little things...cereal, string cheese, sausage, candy, crackers, etc.
Then I hid them around the yard and they hunted and then snacked.

Henry and I also got out the watercolors and found our calm by spending some time painting eggs.
We also used markers and then painted over them with water to smear the colors.
I don't have a picture of the finished product but they turned out cute.

So that leaves us at today.
And today I am feeling fierce and ready for another challenge.
So I am pulling Charley a tad early from school and the kiddos and I are heading up to Ed's parents.
Ed will join us Friday night after work.
So this morning we pack up.
And this afternoon we prove once again that travel to see those we love is always worth the long drive, the not always perfect sleep, and the unpacking that follows a trip.

Bon Voyage!
4 hours has to be easier than 7...right?

I would not find my calm by painting with my 4 year old!! Ha :) I like the expression though...I'll have to find my own way to be calm!
