Hi

It is amazing how much older your kids seem when you have been away for a few days.

I know they always seem bigger.

We knew Sydney was verging on a new more "toddler-like" stage.
But HOLY COW.

She is scooting around furniture like a champ. Even letting go and standing for a second.
She is even more able to imitate you and boy can you tell she understands you.

Today is all about taking them in.
Today is about getting my feet grounded in the snow-less Minnesota routines.
Today is about sighing and being so thankful for an incredible mom who took the kids for two days on her own and then co-cared for them with my amazing brother for the rest of the time.
Today is about being so appreciative of the friends and neighbors that took Charley to and from school. And those waiting in the wings ready to help if there were any spur of the moment needs.

Today is about being so grateful for how it all worked out.
Today I miss the beach walk, the morning coffee while listening to the ocean waves crash, and not having to cook or worry about anyone else.
HOWEVER, today I am so glad to be home. So glad.

Today is about catching up, taking it easy, and getting back to the mama duty that I love so much.

Today I am full of thanks.
Lots of blogging to come.
Stay tuned. (Sorry I ditched out for a week. I honestly thought I would have done more of that. But it just didn't flow like that. Disconnecting was more of what happened.)

Fill in the blank for your Today...

Today is about getting ready! Getting ready for Saturday when we are hosting 24 people for a triple birthday party!! We just might be crazy. Our three kiddos have birthdays within a month so we are trying this birthday-poolza. We still haven't decided what to do for food, but I think all of the decorations, party bags, etc are looking good.
We are getting ready to have a 7 year old, a 4 year old and a 1 year old.

What an awesome picture! Gotta love those gulf coast FL sunset shots. I have a bazillion of those from our frequent trips to Siesta Key. Beautiful!

Today is about getting finances in order. Today is about a cranky, crabby, cold ridden Jack and off her routine, slightly sniffly Eleanor. Today is about taking a little boy and a little girl to a specialist office (that always has a LONG wait) RIGHT in the middle of nap time to hopefully hear some good news for our little boy. Today is about warming up my coffee five times before actually being able to drink it. Today is about making a nice bowl of cereal but having a slim fast two hours later because the cereal was so soggy by the time I got back to eat it. Today is about hopefully catching up and finishing Thank You cards and dropping off our taxes to our accountant. Today is about enjoying a meal given to us by a friend for dinner!

Today is mainly about survival. Today is about praying for good naps. Today is about being thankful that my husband called to check on me ( since today was about crying when he walked out the door) and having a friend stop over unannounced to make me smile, today is about Eli letting me prep dinner early so I can play more later. Today is about confirming my big sisters trip down to meet hughie...finally- hope she can snap some pictures so he can make his debut on her famous blog. Today is about rain and thunder. Today is about playing grocery store with Eli. Today is bout so much.l.lbut goes back to survival. RR

Traveling! My for fun, but for work. But travel..from Brookfield to Milwaukee to Charlotte to Roanoke. A whirlwind of two days working and then the same travel in reverse to be home snuggling my babies!

This morning was about survival. It was day 4 of having another kiddo with us so his mama could go on a trip with his Dad. He was really the best kiddo ever...but I could feel the off-routine wearing on all of us. I did take them swimming for almost two hours by myself. It actually went really smoothly and I felt I deserved a badge or something. Haha! I know you do it with 3 all the time, Sarah! Then we went on a long bike/wagon ride. Friends kiddo is gone and my boys are snuggled in their beds for nap. I'm taking a deep breath and relaxing! So...the rest of TODAY is all about spending the one-on-two time with my boys that I've missed over the last few days. Eli has been so busy playing with his buddy that I feel like I've hardly played with him. I'm craving some good book-reading/conversation time with my boys. And I'm planning to ask Dad to pick up some Mizu-Sushi for dinner! :)

Today is about not letting my annoyance show. It's been a long day and we've still got a few hours to go!

Love that sunset picture, makes me want to go to Florida now.
Today was about remaining calm, because I knew Maddy would have an off day.
Glad you had fun and just took in your time there.
