Giving thanks.
Waking up to this mess means we ate well last night.
Waking up to this means Henry and I read a few extra stories.
Waking up to this mess means Sydney got to explore a new area of the house, with my supervision.
Waking up to this mess means I took time for myself last night.
Waking up to this means I got an extra half hour of sleep.
However,
Waking up to this means mama wasn't up for making pancakes like the boys wanted.
Which results in crabby boys and a snappy mama.
It means cleaning it up today will take twice as long because it has now dried on and will require elbow grease.
Lesson: take the 10-20 minutes to clean it up before putting my feet up, and still do all the things mentioned up above.
Today:
Feeling in the groove to get somethings done around the house.
What's on your agenda?

An eye apt this AM for Maddy, now tackling patching. So much for cleaning bathrooms, my focus is all on her.
I have to do the dishes each night or it makes me grumpy the next day.
I absolutely have to clean up the next night or I'm miserable in the morning! Easier said than done though!
Pres decided 530am was a good time to start the day. I fed her, passed her off to Shawn and got in a killer workout. Started the day great, we went to playgroup and now it's almost naptime (YAY!). A new supper is in the crockpot waiting for us to try it out tonight too. It's a good day!
I cannot go to bed with a dirty kitchen. I hate that feeling in the morning of yesterdays work not done. But sometimes that extra sleep and me time is worth it. :)
I had a similar post with similar thoughts yesterday! :)
Sometimes its okay for it to not all get done. On the nights Matt is home I ignore them until the kids are in bed and then Matt and I tackle the kitchen together. It goes faster and is an enjoyable time to talk and flirt with one another. :)
If Matt's not home. I usually clear the table right after supper and get the kids going with Legos or some short activity at the table and get the dishes done right away. Because when I'm home alone...I hate walking out of the boys room at bedtime and finding a messy kitchen. I just want to check out and have time to relax at that point.
Ah, motherhood. Count it all as thanks! :)
so it must have been some sort of day for everyone today..my kids were totally out of sorts. CAW was up early and cranky and clingy and we even had a playdate with twins from lb's class! oh well. a stop from grandma and wyatt cheered them up!

HA! If you only knew how well I can relate to this post....
Theresa
I'm awful at getting everything done. And then it throws our routine off.
