And now it is his place too.

Henry.
My guy.
The kiddo that often times slinks behind my leg.
The kid who idolizes his brother.
He has a shy way about him in many situations...
was in heaven last week.

The kid took it all in.
He remembered.
He will remember even more after this year.
The first day when we got there Grandma asked him what he wanted to do this week.
He responded, "go on a boat ride with Grandpa..."
And off they went.
The next day he asked for fishing...and off he went.
He caught minnows.
Threw out his line.
Jumped in the lake.
He chose to play with Eli at moments instead of Charley...and this was HUGE.

At one point Mr. Charley had to run to town with Daddy and Uncle Andy for anti itch medicine.
Henry was invited to go fishing with JUST Grandpa Bob and Mr. Paul.
I didn't think he would be up for it.
But off he went.
And he was fishing for a good 2-3 hours.
He caught a basket full of perch.
He talked their ears off.
He peed off the side of the boat.
He helped drive the boat.
And he was in his glory.
I couldn't be more proud of my middle kiddo.
I couldn't be more thankful to my dad and Paul for giving him the chance to thrive on his own.

My Henry.
Next year he will be 4.
Next year he will be that much more full of memories and demands.
Next year he will be more and more independent and himself.

The week up north is my special place, but it has become his too.

This is so sweet...especially the peeing off the side of the boat! Love these journeys.
