Sydney was born on Sunday, January 23rd, a HUGE day for the fans of the Green Bay Packers. A game was to be played at 2pm and Ed would have loved to have been sitting on our couch at home, watching the game on our big HD TV. However, as fate would have it, our little girl was born just about 12 hours before kick off. And there was no way he was going to leave her side...or mine.
But a dedicated Grandma Barb made the 6 hour journey in frigid temps to meet her first granddaughter. And she was sporting her Packer Jersey to boot.
So Ed nestled into the uncomfortable hospital chair in our room and snuggled his little dear while I napped. He watched the Packers whoop some arse. They beat the Bears! And off they go to the Superbowl!
I was born in Illinois and new the Superbowl Shuffle by heart in 1985 or 1986 when they went to the Superbowl. Not long after we moved to Wisconsin and slowly I became a Packer fan, and forever that is who I will cheer for. Green Bay Packer Fans are loyal. dedicated. passionate. and just plain down to earth. So this Sunday we will cheer them on and hope for a win against the Steelers...sorry Jessie, but we will win! haha!
So what have the boys been busy doing this week while I am a nursing machine...
one afternoon they decorated some Packer backer signs!
