This morning I squeezed in a brow wax with Henry and Sydney as sidekicks.
I have typically had Charley and Henry along for the 15 minute appointment. They sit quietly with their dum dum lollipop and watch with wide eyes as I am tortured. I figure they will never question their wife's need to have this done and the extra 20 bucks it costs every month or two.
But today with Sydney sitting contently in her carseat, well actually she shrieked a little but I hung my hand down and rocked her while trying to relax and enjoy the torture. So anyways, while laying there I thought...do I want Sydney to be aware of this process at an early age. I don't want her looking at her eye brows scrutinizing whether she needs hers waxed. I don't want her to worry about them. So now, having a girl...puts a whole new spin on brow waxing...what do you think?

And boy do they see everything! And question why you are doing what you do. ALL THE TIME! I've learned this with Kiera.
That is a really good point. I've thought the same when Samara watches me do my makeup. Do we really want our perfect girls thinking they are anything BUT perfect??
I just saw some footage about pagent moms having their toddlers eyebrows waxed...she was screaming because she had been burned by hot wax at one point...
Poor little girl. The mom was nuts!
You teach the girl to wax! There's nothing wrong with showing a girl how a woman takes care of herself, and when the time comes, she will know exactly what to do. :)
Yes, Hailey's at the stage now where she wants her nails painted too. I just don't know if I'm ready for that, but she will see what I do. She will see the hair dye, the makeup, the exercise, the good bras, and the skin care regime and she will (hopefully) see that there is nothing wrong with taking extra-special care of yourself...that's how I'm going to spin it at least!
