Happy Easter!

This week we prepared to host Easter by decorating mini bunny cakes with a friend.  We also colored easter eggs.  The boys were pretty jazzed to have my family arrive on Friday for homemade pizza.  We played a TON of Wii.  Bowling tournaments were pretty competitive.  I planned the Easter dinner for Saturday at noon.  It went off without a hitch - thanks to everyone's yummy contributions.  Ed did a spectacular job on the huge ham (his mother-in-law is a great coach).  The boys did a fun scavenger hunt.  The weather was beautiful so we all enjoyed walks.  Ed and my dad went to a late movie on Saturday night.  Wine was enjoyed.  Greg enjoyed a birthday cake.  Raina played Uno with my boys.  The fun was fast and furious.

In no time Sunday rolled around and everyone was packing up for their long drives home.  Typically we travel on holidays.  As we waved to our guests as they ventured back home - I was glad that we weren't travelling this time.  It was a treat.  I also love having the leftovers...and the clean house...that comes along with hosting a family holiday celebration.

The Easter bunny hid our eggs inside and out.  The boys did pretty good finding all the eggs...I think there are still three real eggs missing...somewhere inside our house...yikes!

My biggest Easter treat was having some time with my nephew Eli.  He is aslmot 10 months old.  He is crawling fast and standing up quickly.  He is a happy boy!   I got to give him a bottle and that was my favorite moment of the weekend.  His little hand is busy either reaching for my face, stroking my hand, or playing with the hair behind his ears.  He is wonderful!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.
