Friday Random Thoughts...

1.  In the last 18 hours we got a quick visit with my brother.  He swooped in last night and seemed satisfied with my homemade pizza (w/o cheese - because that is how he rolls).  He spent the morning watching Henry while Charley was at preschool and I ran out with a girlfriend to be moral support for her new house inspection.  Uncle Greg, who is a bachelor and hasn't probably ever changed a diaper - kept Henry occupied and even changed a poopy diaper!  Way to go Uncle Greg!  Thanks for fitting us in!

2.  I am attempting my first batch of whole wheat sandwich bread.  If it goes well I might be changing up our family's grocery list - it might not include bread!

3.  I HAVE NOT had one of those cupcakes yet!  Too busy today - and not cravin' it!  So Grandma Charlie - there will be one here waiting for you!

4.  I have several shows saved up on Tivo from the week and I can't wait to catch up this weekend...is it sad that I am glad we don't have a big social life so that weekends can actually be relaxing ends to our week.

5.  As winter slowly starts fading...the sun begins to shine more often.  Around 2:06pm every afternoon I desire the life of a cat.  I want to find a patch that has been blessed with the warmth of the sun, and I want to curl up and nap right there.

6.  I have found several friends who I can talk on the phone with for long stretches of time, going from one topic to the next.  It makes me think back to the days when my mom would pace our kitchen with the LLOOOOOOOOOONG curly cord that attached the phone to the wall.  I appreciate cordless phones.

7.  I am the mom of two boys...and this is what I deal with each day - all. day. long.

8.  I took a chance and played around with the HTML code and got rid of the border that automatically shows up on Blogspot headers.  I also became a premium member of this photo editing website!  LOVE IT!  And from this site I created, all by myself, the new header at the top of my blog!

9.  My mom and dad survived their week in the Dominican Republic with SEVERAL friends.  Sunday my in-laws head to Hawaii for a week!  Someday I hope that Ed and I can travel together like our two sets of parents.

10.  What should I make for dinner tonight...hmmm...what are you having?

um.... how does a girl get one of those cupcakes?? They look excellent. Thanks for stopping by my blog & for taking the time to comment. LOVE the title of yours by the way. I feel like I've used the phrase "for the love of naps" a time or 17 in the last few months.

3. I just heard about picnik and am going to try it this weekend.

4. We had barbecued pork tenderloin, steamed veggies and wild rice for supper. It sounds good but was just so-so.

That cupcake looks amazing! They wouldn't have lasted two days at my house! And you did a great job with your header. What an adorable picture! Love your blog title too.

The toys....omg the toys there and here and everywhere, all the time! I secretly wish I could toss them all away!

To answer number 4, no not bad at all, isn't it just a stage in your life right now. At least for us with no family around, we don't have a big social life either.
#9 - Oh how I wish I could go back to Hawaii - someday. You don't need to wait till the kids are grown though, you could plan a mini trip if that is better and get away. I know easier said than done. We have talked about doing that.
#10 Dinner - breakfast for dinner - either pancakes or waffles.

Uncles are great, especially the bachelor ones that haven't grown up completely yet and still think like a kid:) I have 3 brothers lol!

Those cupcakes are making my stomach grumble...

I have 3 boys and trust me when I tell you, the toys will be here to stay for a long time lol:)

You have a great blog and I'm following you now. Shell sent me over and I can see why!

The photo of the toys on the carpet looks IDENTICAL to our house, right down to the carpet! It's the mess that never ends!

Thanks for playing again this week :)

I've got bread in the oven right now! We still aren't using it for everyday though, it's too delicious and we keep eating it as treats.

I can completely relate to the picture of the toys all over! We even have some of those same ones! LOL

Great job with the header! And I can't wait to hear how the bread turns out . . . I have perfected my wheat pizza crust, and am thinking I need to move on to bread.
