These are the days...
Today my boys and I headed out to a nearby nature center for a class about pumpkins. It was a perfect fall activity. Inside the nature center the boys did puzzles, looked at seeds in various fruits and vegetables, dug out the insides of a large pumpkin, painted and did pumpkin stamping, built with logs and animals, did coloring sheets, heard a story, discussed seeds and how pumpkins grow. Then we headed outside for a 30 minute hike. We hunted for seeds and then got to find pumpkins that they hid in the prairie grasses. It was a wonderful morning out in nature. It inspired me to get my boys out there more often. Henry hiked his way through the forest all.by. himself. Charley chatted wisely with one of the instructors. I was in heaven. I can't wait to go back in November! It is times like this...when we are out of the house, spending time together, when I can focus on just being present with my boys...no laundry, cooking, cleaning, computers, phones to distract. Love these moments. These are the moments I don't want to forget.

Henry says, "Thank you Aunt Raina! I feel like a new man!"
So cool! Makes me smile and wishing that I could have been there to take it all in. Sweet Dreams. Love, Mom
