How to make your holiday cards last all year long!

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is getting the mail.
Each day is like getting a gift.
And we display all the fun photo cards on our pantry cupboards.
The kids love looking at them.
It is nearly time to take them down, and watch my kitchen look so much bigger when you take down this busy spot.  So this year I figured out the quick and easy way to make these holiday cards last all year long.

I decided to finally give add an image to some of my contacts in my address book so that when those people call me their holiday card picture pops up on my screen.  A gift similar to the month of December's mailbox fun.

Here's how to do it.
First, go into your contacts and select a friend or family member.

Click on the EDIT button.
And then click on the spot where there is supposed to be a picture of the person.
....it says ADD PHOTO.

Next, the screen will look like this.

Select TAKE PHOTO.
Take your photo.
And then agree to use the photo after you have cropped how you want it to look.

And there ya go!

Now when the person calls that image will pop up on your screen and it will be a little gift all. year. long.

I kept putting this off because it seemed like it would be hard.  But it isn't.  It literally took me 5 minutes.

Too funny! I did that a few weeks ago. I think I saw the idea on Pinterest. My husband laughs that when each time his buddy calls, up pops this beautiful photo of his family--especially when his friend is sending a joking text, etc. (We are currently sharing a cell phone). Ha!
