Stumped while nibbling a peanut butter cookie...HELP

Tonight we are attending Charley's first somewhat- orchestra concert.  I say somewhat because it is more of a demonstration.  They aren't going to be performing a formal  line up of songs.  And they have only practiced one time as an entire group.  Rather, they will be showing us what they have been working on each week.

No matter what...I am off to see my first born up on stage with fiddle in hand.  Well technically, not fiddle....but fiddle.  Right?

And they asked us to bring a plate of 6 cookies for a little mingling and chatter afterwards.
It did not stay store bought.  DO YOU HEAR ME!  It did not say store bought.  And as I type this I realize now that I screwed up. DANG.  Seriously, just realized.  Typically, schools ask for only store bought now a days..due to all the allergies etc.  And now I realize that I rejoiced in the chance to bake something for my son at school....and what did I pick?

Criss Cross Peanut butter cookies....do you see my error now.
Peanut butter.  The most dangerous allergy.  GEEZ.  Now what.  Do you bring them or not?  HELP!

I labeled these cookies old school because I didn't go searching interest or some of the well known recipe websites for an award winning peanut butter cookie recipe.
Instead, I pulled out the book my mom gave me when I got married.  She got it used, maybe on Ebay, and she wrote a loving and inspiring not inside.  And had my grandma write one too.  It is old school because it is a classic recipe book that I go to when I need that basic recipe.  And sometimes the recipes in there are too basic and I am stumped on what they mean.  But this recipe calls for a cup of shortening and a cup of peanut butter - and that's exactly what Henry and I were feeling like this early afternoon.

Henry mastered the criss cross sugar dip action like a champ this time.
Only completely demolishing one cookie, which went right into our tummies.

But, now that I type this up I realize the main ingredient is Peanut Butter...so do I need to sadly keep these babies at home to be enjoyed all weekend....
HELP?  What do you think?

Bring the cookies!!!!! They look very obviously peanut butter to me, but perhaps add a little sign next to them for identification purposes.

Too many little hands around touching everything. Don't bring!

As a parent of a child with food allergies, DON'T bring them! It's a free for all at these functions. Parents lose track of their children; they don't know what they've eaten from the dessert buffet!! The children aren't reading labels.

they sell peanut butter cookies at the store too. Store bought or not but I am sure if I were the mom of a child with a severe peanut allergy I'd appreciate them staying home too. :(

Yep, enjoy them at home. They look amazing! Go grab a box of the Little Debbie Christmas trees...those will be a hit with the little kids! :)
