Friday Joys

Ed threw out the "let's take the kids shopping for Toys for Tots gift" idea.
And off we went.
And this week they each put their pick in the big box in town.
I think it is fun to see what your child picks for another child their age.  Someday, I hope they will treasure this and this little old blog as their baby book.

I hit the mall the other day to get a warm hat and mittens for upcoming time outside.  I had two things for Eddie Bauer that basically gave me $15 dollars to spend there.  I saw hats and mittens on sale there for half off...making them 19.95 each.  So we ran there.  They had them, when they rang up they came up regular price...39.99 each.  I told them I saw them online for 19.99.  (when I got home I realized I had seen that price in their catalog).  She looked up the price online to confirm and she found that online they were actually each priced at 10$!  putting my purchase at $5!  I basically leaped around all day scoring that deal.

I will be warm!

This Christmas we gave ourselves parameters for shopping for our kiddos.  We had them think about things they read, wear, need, and want.  We got them each something in each category.  For Sydney I came across a bunch of used Golden Books...the vintage ones...or at least the old ones.  So she is getting them and I am excited about this gift.

Speaking of Miss Syd.
She hasn't been napping again this week, maybe the stuffy nose.  Maybe the holiday excitement.
But one day she was quiet and I got excited so I went up and checked on her.  She had pulled in a near by snowsuit and was sleeping like this....

Mother Nature was on our side.  This week a snow storm hit much of WI and MN and some of it is in our travel route.  We are so glad that it came early and most likely won't impact our holiday travel.

I want to wish all of you a Happy Holiday and  Merry Christmas.
I am going to try and disconnect from the blog for most of the upcoming week at times.  I want to take in my family and my children and I want to relax and snap a few pictures, but mostly just have my heart relaxed and enjoying it all.

Merry Christmas, friends!
This Christmas is the only Christmas you will get that is just like this.  Each year is so unique.  Charley hovers on the brink of probably learning about Santa and what believing in Christmas magic really means.   Relish your time.  Soak it up.  I know I will be.

Also, could you adjust the straps etcetera. to fit your links body form? While you are carrying the rucksack for extra than sooner or later, lightly padded harness is enough for any day bedroom, but for more substantial, more substantial people, a far more leading-edge again method is important to produce a north face coupons load distribution. For climbing and tough ground you might desire a pack that suits your back again,
