I know this for sure...

When I spend time with my mom I use this phrase way too much..."I know."  I like to think it comes out nicely...but I know it comes out snarky, snotty, crabby, and often always sassy.

While driving my mom will say, "Sarah, we're going to turn here."  and I will respond:

I KNOW!

When we are making lunch she will say Charley and Henry want milk and I will respond:

I KNOW!

I will even say it when I don't really know but I like to think I knew or I don't want to admit that I didn't know.  And I am extremely sorry after the visit has passed for my snarky "I KNOWs".

One thing I do know though...When I am with my mom, she always has great ideas and is willing to do fun things.  For example, there is a path that takes you around the lake by their house.  A BEAUITFUL lake with million dollar homes...I mean...6 million dollar homes.  She has always wanted to walk it with the boys because there are two magical areas with HUGE trees that she has always wanted to play hide and seek in.  So this past week one morning she suggested that outing.  It might have even gone like this:

Mom says, "I was thinking we could go for a walk this morning along the lake and play hide and seek by these great big trees.  It is on my bucket list and I think it is a perfect morning for that."

I of course reply, "I KNOW!"  haha!  See..there was no way of me knowing that would happen but I can guarentee you my 15 year old self just naturally responds in my know it all way when I am around my mom.

Needless to say, we packed up the three kiddos, got mama a latte on the way, strapped Sydney to my chest in the Baby Bjorn, and off we went.  There was not a whine or complaint by the boys.  I enjoyed strolling by the lake and dreaming of the houses that we passed.  Many of them vacant for the week...only to be used on the weekends...because doesn't everyone have million dollar cabins to escape to.

Thanks mom!  It was my favorite thing that we did all week with you!

Let the games begin!

Where's are they?

There they are!
