Ready, Set, LEARN!

So Hankerdoodle is 3 years old. He can name every Star Wars guy and can tell you about them...even though he hasn't seen the movies etc. At this age Charley had no idea what Star Wars was, but he knew his letters...and maybe his letter sounds. Now, Aunt Raina might point out that this could be the middle kid effect. However, as your mama, it is more about how you spend your days. You idolize your brother and much of your day is spent entertained by him.

However, recently, I have this picture in my head...and I am feeling guilty that I have not spent a little more time on the ABC's and 123's.

This face that says, "Hey mom!  I'm ready! What are you waiting for!"

So the other day when we were shopping I came across a workbook that looked just right for Henry.  And I asked him if he would like to get a homework book, so he could do homework just like Charley.  His reply, "You betcha!"  With a look...saying I have been waiting all my life for my first homework book.

So, when Charley got home from school he proudly showed his brother his "Really cool." homework book.  So proud.  And after Grandma left this morning we got it out and went to work.  He started out proud and serious.

And he quickly got WAY more serious.

Can you see how serious he got?  Because then he got even more serious.

I love when little ones get so into their work that their tongue sneaks out to get a peek at the adventure.

He continued to color.

And then he cut.

And then he glued.

And I quickly realized that this boy is ready to be smart....just like his big brother.  And so away we go!  ABC's and 123's ...you better be ready for him!
