...........Saturday
Outside My Window... today we get the glimpse of rainy days ahead. It is raining today and I love it. It makes being home and still in our pjs ... okay.
I am thinking... how loved Miss Sydney is. She was gifted many handmade gifts this weekend from her Aunt Sara and Grandma Charlie. She is expecting some onesies made by my brother's girlfriend, Liz. And a special friend stopped by and gave her a headband with a huge pink daisy...pictures will be shared this week of all of these lovely items.
I am thankful for... a husband that lets me sleep in on Saturdays and Sundays. I know he would love to sleep in but the little bit of extra sleep sure does help my sanity.
From the learning rooms... this week Henry is going to work on his name, Charley is going to read, read, read. I am going to start practicing my zig zag stitch so that I can attempt to make my own decorated onesies.
From the kitchen... Grandma Charlie brought a cherry pie from a wonderful bakery. And I am planning on eating a lite dinner so I can indulge in a piece this evening.
I am wearing... my pjs...I am headed to take a long hot shower momentarily...that is if Ed is okay supervising the boys, Sydney, and the two neighbor girls.
I am creating... I just spent the last hour getting some blog posts ready to post for the week. So you can plan to hear from me this week. ahhhh....feels good to have time.
I am going... to shower and then have a cup of tea...or maybe a beer...
I am reading... The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest...I think that is what it is called. I haven't started it yet because I am afraid that it is going to suck me in so badly and life will fall apart around here.
On my mind... This bedtime thing with Henry needs to resolve itself...NOW...it is ruining our evenings. He needs to go to sleep more peacefully and without so much attention.
Around the house... the neighbor girls are here so there is lots of talking and shouting...why do kids shout when they talk to each other.
One of my favorite things... our basement. It is unfinished but this past fall we cleaned up half of it and made it cozy enough for kids to play in. The boys love it. And we can hear all that goes on without being right in the middle of the chaos...and the mess...well the door can be closed and the mess can disappear without bending over multiple times to pick up.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Healthier snacking, prenatal vitamins, more water, patience, and happiness. Life is good.
Small window into my life...
