Pink..just can't get enough! - 8 weeks

I have a feeling that this girl is going to boycott pink when she is able to speak. After 6 years of very boyish blues, reds, and greens...I am enjoying the pinks, purples, and softer blues. The quilt you will be seeing is made by Ed's amazing mom! I will try to capture more of it in the coming days. Simply gorgeous!

Our 8 week old is smiling more as she beefs up and becomes our little dumpling girl.  Her wrists have little creases and her legs that are constantly kicking are most likely taking a little more effort to lift.  She is watching for her brothers and follows them as they pop in and out of her little world.  She is cooing and fusses only when she has a diaper issue or is hungry - or stuck in a spot too long.  She is still sleeping in by us, nestled in her bassinet, securely wrapped in our favorite swaddle blanket (arms down).  She is still sleeping from the 8 o'clock hour until the 4 or even 5 am hour.  Incredible and just such a blessing.  Life is good for this little bubble belly girlie Q.

In other news....
Lots of excitement going on here as we continue to melt into this family of five.  Today was our first outing, just mama and the kids, to downtown St. Paul for some fun at the Children's museum.  Charley has started his "spring break" even though there is a new blanket of snow covering our world - boo!  Laundry is caught up and is verging on being put away...the baskets are upstairs - and folks - this is an amazing accomplishment.  The only thing I feel grumbly about is that I have nothing planned for dinner and our fridge is looking more and more bare by the hour.  Happy Thursday!  More fun blogs coming REALLY soon...within the next 24 hours.  You know me...they come in bursts and there are plenty.  Just love the comments...they really are so kind and they totally motivate me to keep posting.  So thanks for taking the time.

Such a pretty girl! I look forward to seeing more of the quilt; it looks gorgeous. I have to add I'm totally jealous of 8 to 4...I am super excited my PJ has stretched it to 4 hours for me to sleep.
