On a scale of 1 to 6

Some mornings you wake up and you think...let's just stay in our PJ's. It is easy. It is cozy. It is why I wanted to "stay at home" with my kids. But then there are also mornings when you are spurred to get up and go. To take your 3, yes 3, kids downtown. Park in a parking garage. Trek across sky ways. Pay a bit of a fee. And enjoy an adventure.

Last Thursday I had a get up and go morning. And I was lucky to have a friend with three little girls, who had the energy to accompany us.   This was my first major outing with all three.

Unfortunately, with my three and her three...we no longer can ride in the same mini van. boo! So instead we followed each other, parked near each other, and it all went smooth.

Driving downtown St. Paul and maneuvering safely to our destination is a rush for me. I look at the busy life of the city at 8:30 on a Thursday morning.... the commuters eating their breakfast while they are driving, the people bustling across streets in fine work clothes...but, boy am I lucky to be strolling with my three kiddos into the exciting Minnesota Children's museum.

We got there as the doors were opening - hoping for a good hour before the crowds arrived. And we planned nicely. We had just about an hour where we were the only ones in some of the exhibits.

They cooked in the kitchen.
They enjoyed the lego exhibit.  We will be going back soon with the plan of just hanging out in this room.

A few shots of me and the boys oops!  Can't say that.  Here is me with the kids!

Here are the kiddos!
And before we left the "city" we walked to this candy shop and everyone got some old fashioned buttons to keep them busy on the ride home!

Oh, and when Sydney wasn't in my carrier, my arms, or the stroller...."bonus Auntie Jessie held her."

The boys LOVE this place and I need to make the journey "downtown" more often, because it is a nice outing.

On a scale of 1-6...it is a definite...

That sounds like a lot of fun! Unfortunately, I don't get a lot of get-up-and-go days at all. We don't have anything fun like that around here!

I also absolutely love the photo of you with your kids - so much! By the way, Grandma Barb and Grandpa Bob love to relax, it rates way up high on our list of favorite activities, keep that in mind when we visit and don't worry about us too much. Oh, and Survivor Wednesday night. Waffles anyone? Great supper suggestion from us Sarah, yours are delicious any time of day.

What a fun day! It looks like the Lego room could keep them busy for quite some time.
