Charley: Learning Fest 2011

Charley has been loving science stuff lately. And when he brought home info on the upcoming Learning Festival we signed him up...even though we knew we would be in the midst of transitioning into a family of 5.

I learned from this experience that I am a procrastinator...I will be honest..I already knew that about myself. But attending the big festival I realized that the learning festival project can be done in 3 days! But a science fair project takes much more planning and time. Good to know.

So here is Charley doing his project. He did it! As a teacher I know that you can get projects done by kids and projects done by the parent. And then you can get the project done by both the parent and child and you know they had a great time working together. Since Charley is in kindergarten we kept it simple. He did all of it with just a tiny bit of guidance. I had to keep telling him that we were sharing REAL information so we had to make things look realistic. :)

It was a great experience and we will definitely do it again!

Sarah, the pictures are great, again I feel like I was sitting at the table with them. Proud of Charley

....From a fellow procrastinator, which my first grade teacher predicted to my mom
