We started the weekend hanging out at a small northern lake with some good friends. So fun to watch the dads do the sand thing. So fun to see you Mike, Kelly, and boys! I love that there were four little boys and their dads busy in the sand!
That evening I got to check off one of my "summer list" items. After dinner we went for a walk along the shores of Lake Superior. This is the first time where we have taken the boys to the lake to just walk the beach. It was perfect, minus the one one annoying fly that kept nipping my ankle. I knew it would be. Growing up I remember many walks along the shores of Lake Michigan with my family. We got to run the dunes and look for treasures along the beach. I wish we lived closer to a large body of water for this reason alone. It is wonderful family time.
