'Get to' day recap!
Yesterday was a day full of "Get to" moments. But now that the day has passed they are "got to" moments.
We ventured out with friends and got to hike around a nearby park for over an hour and a half. The boys got thirsty and we taught Henry how to nibble on snow to quench his thirst. The boys ran, walked, rolled, and jumped the entire way! Even Henry with his cold, managed to walk the entire hike!
We got to visit a donut shop...just the three of us.
Henry got a good afternoon nap. I got to close my eyes for a few minutes, too.
A friend delivered a much needed Diet Coke. I have eliminated it from my diet but yesterday I got to enjoy one...and since she delivered two I will enjoy another one today.
Henry and I got to build blocks and play army guys while Charley was in his own little Leapster world.
Then we all got to work on cutting and pasting our favorite finds in old magazines. (Note to all the mamas....sitting down and doing this activity was really relaxing!)
We got to have leftovers for dinner. Which meant less mess, less time wasted cooking, and everyone was happy.
And I got to escape to our bedroom after dinner and daddy did the bedtime routine!
Thanks for all the positive thoughts on my "get to" post yesterday. Hope you have another day full of "get to" moments!

Glad to hear you "got to" have a wonderful day w/ your boys! Good Times!!!
I've really enjoyed reading your blog posts! I don't even remember how I was linked up with it! I love reading about people and their families and making a "blog connection" feeling as if we are very similar. Kudos to all your 'get to's'! www.benlucienmonica.blogspot.com
My daughter LOVES old magazines-- she would have had such a good time "getting" to cut them up (even though she doesn't know how to use scissors, she would have been happy to use her hands!).

Sounds like a really great day!!
Today we "got to" venture out in the fabulous weather and feed the giraffes at the zoo! Love finding the joy in the small things.

I got to have a donut today too! Yay! And, like you, from a real bakery...so much better. :)

I thought of your post a few times today.
Sounds like a great day! If it would warm up here a little bit I would like to take the boys out for a walk. I'm tired of the cold and snow. I want to go to the park and play and get ice cream!
