Bacon...

This morning I earned big smiles from all three of my boys when I whipped up a "big" breakfast. Lots of scrambled eggs, lots of bacon, some toast (in our new toaster), and fruit salad (pineapple, clemintines, and huge blackberries).

If you have never tried it....you should! BACON IN THE OVEN!

This morning I trusted my memory - so I have no idea if I did it like the almighty internet would instruct....

Took a cookie pan with sides...covered it with tinfoil that came up on the sides. Lined up my bacon on it so that I had the amount I thought my boys would eat (a healthy portion not a hefty portion). Put it in the oven at 415 degrees (I couldn't remember if it was 400 or 425) and let it go. I checked periodically until it was done to our liking. The house smelled like bacon and we all got to eat at the same time. I wasn't rushing to the microwave and zapping it over and over to cook it there ...and I didn't have the mega fry pan of grease to clean up...I just rolled up the tin foil and it was gone!

Anyways, if you have any bacon lovers in your house - because who doesn't love bacon....give it a try. It really is easy! And now our tummies are full and we are ready for the day!

andy puts the bacon on cookie cooling racks ON a cookie sheet lined with foil. then the bacon grease all drips off and easy to grab and eat without all that grease and clean up is easy too!!! we hardly EVER have bacon-so i can imagine that lovely smell.

Oh I love me some bacon! Hubby puts it in the oven and it always turns out so well. Now I want some bacon...

Oh yes, bacon in the oven is so much easier! I put mine in my Pampered Chef baking stone...it's easy clean up and seasons my stone quite nicely! I do it at about 425 degrees as well.
