Are you a mom who looks to others for inspiration for patience, creativity, perseverance, grace and more.
If you have a minute or ten....I follow the blog titled The Nie Nie Dialogues. She has been blogging for a long time but over a year ago was in a plane crash. Since then, her blog has continued to inspire women, many moms. Her style, her grace, her creativity, and most of all her perseverance to get back to being the mother she was before the accident make reading her blog inspiring. Recently there was a 2 part story written to tell her story. She is an amazing woman, with an amazing husband and family.
It's the season to appreciate all that we have in our life. It is easy to get wrapped up in: complaining about eating too many sweets, not having enough money to buy the presents you want to give, lacking time to get everything done, a runny nose or an annoying cough.
But really, when you step back it is about a quiet morning in pjs playing Trouble as a family, watching Rudolph in the evening by the light of the Christmas tree, baking cookies with your children, chatting three times a day with your mom, texting your sister periodically during the day to compare notes on shopping, baking, wrapping, etc. It is about realizing that life is good no. matter. what!
Next weekend at this time we will be at my parents unwrapping presents, drinking bloody mary's and mimosas, eating cookies for breakfast, and laughing. Can't wait! But I will not wish this next week away too quickly because it all goes too fast and the anticipation is part of the fun!
