Oh! Shoe shopping for kids can be awful, can't it? Horrendous! Love your blog title (and pretty music!)
I think shoe-shopping is miserable too. It seems the minute I buy new shoes for my daughter, she has a growth spurt, and they don't fit anymore! So I feel your pain :)

My boys actually love shopping for shoes...I am lucky that way. I am just a shoe snob and have shoe expectations for my boys - since I can't put them in fun tights. I like their shoes to be fun - I know...weird.
