First day of preschool
Last day of preschool with his teacher Ms. Heather
Charley had a great first year of preschool. He made many good friends, was given independent time away from mama, and experienced his first school setting. He had a great teacher, Ms. Heather. Mama experienced a "carpool" for the first time and loved it. I also experienced a different kind of countdown to the end of the year. This time of year I always think of my teacher friends and the adrenaline and energy that get you through the last couple of chaotic and emotional weeks of school. As I counted down this year I thought about the routine that preschool gave our family. The time apart it gave Charley and I. We knew Charley would have exciting afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It was fun to experience it from this side too.
Here are a few pictures from the end of the year picnic. Watching Charley roll down the hill with a bunch of his buddies made me realize how fast life is going. All of a sudden I looked up at him surrounded by his cute little boy friends and could imagine life in 13 years! This is going to be an unbelievable journey! I love that I have two boys and get to now witness boys growing up. He will make me proud---- I have this feeling...a mother's instinct!
