Taking in the moment

Charley wanted to play outside this afternoon. So we shot a round of golf in our yard and then he wanted to dig in our garden. So I got him set out there with his gardening tools and his box of cars. I sat down at our picnic table and for at least 30 minutes he puttered around in the garden. AHHHHH! Heaven. I love when I can have a moment while he is doing something stimulating. And digging in the dirt with no jacket on November 3rd is a moment to cherish. And actually we went for a nice walk around one of our favorite parks late morning. WE also had a picnic lunch...no jackets..November 3rd! Just can't get over that point. So we were outside a bunch today. One goal I continue to work on and seem to be succeeding at.

The sun has set, the piano music (thanks to Sarah) plays and now it is time for a cozy dinner. Babysitter arrives at 7:30 so that I can go swim (ugh) while Ed is at a class. And maybe tomorrow it will be as beautiful as today. We can hope...

Sounds like a beautiful day Sarah! I wish I could join you for a glass of wine listening to the music and enjoying the summer like air!
