Today I made an apple pie...and I have to toot my own horn. I think it is the best one I have made yet. The crust around the edge got a little brown but overall it tastes perfect. Maybe it is because my Hank slept through the night last night, which gives me a completely different outlook on life. Maybe it is because I whipped it out without overthinking it, and the recipe was vague on measurements ( I am not the best recipe follower, my mom can testify to that). Whatever the reason...I just enjoyed this piece after my Monday night swim. So basically I just ate the calories I worked so hard to burn. Yummmmmm but it was worth it...
