so they...

I stand outside at 0' too early.

 So they can run.

And blow bubbles.

And ride bikes.

"It is my personal approach that creates the climate.
It is my daily mood that makes the weather...
I possess tremendous power to make a child's life miserable or joyous.
I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal.
In all situations, it is my response that decides whether the crisis will be escalated or
de-escalated and a child humanized or de-humanized."

Tomorrow the temps will drop 30-40 degrees, supposedly.
Winter jackets- once again.
Bah-humbug.

But no matter what Mother Nature gifts us...it is important to remember the impact my mood has on the weather in our home.  It's scary sometimes, the power a mama has.  And sometimes I wish my mood didn't impact so much.
But luckily, my personality looks for the fresh starts, do overs, and moments to embrace.

What moments will your mood embrace today?

Good to read today. It is true my mood sets the tone. Good to remember after school when homework battles with wanting to play outside. Hard to keep my patience as I explain for the five hundreth time that homework has to happen...unfortunately as that may be.
Not loving the idea of it being colder tomorrow and in coming days.

thanks for your post today. So true and such a good reminder for this mama. Sometimes I forget that I have so much influence on the members of my family and how the day will end up like just by my mood. So if everyone seems to be a grouch I need to step back and look at myself and see what i need to change. Hope the weather can hang on a little bit longer for you.
