I just can't get enough of the song I just posted up above.
I love it. ALL of it. The guitar, the lyrics, everything.
I just can't get enough of this weather.
Summer's coming. We could feel it this weekend.
We had sticky, sweaty kids.
We could see it on their faces...pink cheeks, dirt smudged faces,
and necks that got a little too much sun.
Sandbox opened.
A morning run began with the moon and ended with the rise of the amazing sun.
I just can't get enough.
It is going to be a summer of lots of wandering about for this mama.
Watching my speedy little explorer who just can't get enough of the world outside.
There will be little done on the 'to do list' most days.
I will have to be strategic with my inside chores.
And we have to all realize that we can spend time inside, even when this weather is so splendid.
We can. And it IS okay, and we don't have to feel guilty about it.
However, the dishes can pile up. The toothpaste can decorate the bathroom sink another day. The laundry can mound couches.
Because this is it.
It's the pushes that matter.
The pushes that include giggling and squeals.
The pushes that make them so excited that they want to tell their daddy.
This is what I can't get enough of.
Today, spur of the moment, I packed up a lunch and we piled in the car.
Drove to a near by lake.
And I ran/walked pushing more than 60 pounds of kid...plus double jogger stroller.
We made it around the 3.46 mile loop. It was a great workout and a great peaceful little outing.
The lunch kept them busy...along with the birds, and the chatter.
I can't do this long of a stroll every day. But once in a while they'll put up with it.
Yes, Henry still rides...maybe odd, but thankful. He hasn't mastered the two wheel bike without training wheels yet...so this works.
It sure makes running without pushing so much seem like a breeze!
Watching a two year old run.... I just can't get enough.
Watching your five year old burn rubber in his "fast" shoes.... I just can't get enough.
