Henry's off...and he has come a long way...

This kid amazes me!

Yesterday we packed up his enormous backpack.

And off he went to his new preschool.
What a difference a year makes.
Last year Ms. Kary gave him a chance to grow.
And friends and family saw Henry become a little more secure in himself as the year went along.
And this year there were no tears heading to school yesterday.

It was a success!
YIPPEE!

Potentially, Henry could go to all day kindergarten next year instead of half day.
Lots of decisions will be made by next school year.  Since that possibility is there...I am determined to relish every moment this year with Hankers.
Being the middle child he got the family spot where he is sandwiched between siblings...which means he was gifted playmates on both sides.  It also means there wasn't too much of just Mama and Henry time.  At least not at an age where he and I could adventure, just the two of us.
But Henry loves his brother and sister and their friendships are probably his favorite things in life.  So his spot in our family is so meant to be.

And this year he is doing his very own thing at a new school that Charley never went to for three wee mornings a week.
And I can tell he is a wee bit inspired by that fact :)

So proud of you Henry.
You did great.

Today:
We will get Charley off to school.
And then the day is a clean slate.  We'll cater to Grace and Syd's naps...which means...we won't leave the house since when one goes down the other gets up.  September is a month at home...which means we will continue baking and freezing ( yesterday we did four batches of banana bread muffins).

And we're off!

So, so proud of Mr. Henry. He is such a joy and will no doubt learn lots of new things at his new school to share with all of you at home. Great photos!

Dang! I would've stolen a muffin off the counter if I had known there were that many more hiding somewhere! ;) Way to go, Henry! So happy you had a great day.
