moments passing..

Lately, the moments are passing quicker than I can keep up.

Things like Charley bridging from Tiger Cub to Wolf.
Proud.  Serious.  And always excited for his Boy Scout adventures.

Miss Sydney had her 15 month check up today.  She is a peanut.

Weighing in at a whopping 19 pounds 11 ounces (again, Henry was 20 pounds at 4 months)...she is in the 7% for weight.  Doc isn't concerned since it has been her steady growth curve.  She is 31 inches tall putting her in the 76% and her head is in the 30%.  She just started saying "mama" this week and she isn't walking independently.  She is taking life at her own pace (a third child's pace our doctor said).  I'll take it.  I'll enjoy it.

Due to some little quirks lately we are going to go dairy free for 2 weeks and see if lactose is aggravating her system.  My sister warned that anytime you change up your dairy your body responds so we are taking it slow and will see.  She is a happy girl who doesn't seem impacted personality wise by her yummy smoothie drinks that she sucks down each morning and evening.
But there are a few little signs and we want to make sure we are doing what is nutritionally best for our little peanut.

While Miss Syd bathes in the sink after a free for all with cream of wheat...or mashed potatoes, or spaghetti...you name it.  These days the food is winning but mama is quickly figuring out how to keep the mess under control while letting her explore and enjoy her meals.

While she swims in the sink...
Henry has blown us away with his swimming lessons.
He didn't hesitate this year.
He connected with his teacher and can't wait to go every Tuesday and Thursday.
We lucked out with a private lesson this round.  And he jumped from level 1 to level 2 within the first and third lessons!  So proud of him.  We keep telling him if he keeps doing what the teacher asks he will catch his brother.

It is pure joy to see your child thrive, grow, and enjoy it.

Henry has also been helping me in the kitchen.
We ponder different ways to get him involved without making things dangerous.
Scissors and celery worked pretty good.

The moments are passing too quickly.
Like this bug gun that Henry got for Easter from his Grandma...
I would like to suck up the moments and keep them forever...
and I guess that is what a camera allows me to do.

However, the spider I sucked up was not anything we kept very long.  YUCK!

She's so little! Loving all the pictures. And loving the sink bath, I never thought to do that with either girl and wish I would have.

I saw that same bug gun thing at Cabela's. I know my kids would LOVE it but I'd probably just use it to get the spiders out of the house during the summer too. I love that our 3rd seems to be taking things slower than the first two as well. Still no independent walking. In fact since my video she hasn't done it again for momma. Dad is the only one who got her to do it. I think she knows that momma can and usually picks her up and she looks at me funny when I try to get her to walk. The little stinker...

Love the sink bath, and Sydney's hair is getting long in the back.
