My mom has always talked about doing Build a Bear Workshop with the kids.
The boys have heard all about this magical place and they have seen their friends Build a Bears.
I would like to state for a fact that we do not need any more stuffed friends in our house.  We have plenty.  They don't get played with...yet.  Maybe Sydney will change that.  The boys do choose different ones to sleep with, they have their favorites, and they definitely LOVE their pillow pets.

When my mom was here we decided that we would check this off her bucket list.
So on Saturday afternoon we left Sydney and daddy home and off we went to the Mall of America.
I love that I can buzz there with one destination in mind and it doesn't take any longer than going to a normal mall.

The store wasn't busy when we arrived but it quickly got crowded as we stood and pondered which bear and which outfit.

My mom and I had talked and we were both sure that we wanted Henry to pick his bear and his outfit.  We didn't want him to just get the same as Charley.  We figured that Henry was going to be the tricky guy to please.  But upon arriving at the store we spotted the black soft bear dressed like Darth Vader and Henry was sold!  Charley on the other hand literally looked sick to his stomach as he tried to decide between a Packer outfit, a Boy Scout outfit, and the 100s of other outfits.

An excited kiss from Grandma after the decision was made!

They finally decided on their stuff and they got in line with Grandma.

They stuffed them. Gave them a heart.
Brushed them.  Fluffed them.

Dressed them.

Gave them names.

And out we walked.  Two very excited and proud boys.

Grandma and Mama had to admit.  The whole thing was a riot...but very fun.
I will have to get a picture of the dressed bears.  oops!

So much fun to do this! When we were at Downtown Disney they had a Build a Dino in the T Rex Cafe and the kids had a blast making them. Something so special about having a bear/dino you "created". Wish they had this when I was a kid :)

I love Build a Bear. One of these days I'll need to take the girls there to make their own.
