After having her in a cute girl outfit on her way home from the hospital I realized...
I. HAVE. A. GIRL.
And even though I know I said if we had a girl she could still lounge around in the boys sleepers...I am realizing, she really can't. It just isn't right. Henry refers to her as a he. Her cool and cozy nursery is a soft blue that I LOVE. Her bedsheets and bassinet sheets are blue. Her swaddle blankets are soft blue flowers, yellows, and greens.
The GIRL needs some pink. I did not buy ANYTHING before this baby besides some neutral stuff at a sale this past fall. So yesterday, we stopped at a second hand shop and splurged on some cute pink, flowered, polka dotted, soft, sleepers.
And this morning I got to fold my first load of girly laundry. So a friend said I wouldn't want to wash her stuff with the boys because of the colors....advice...will her stuff survive with the navy blues, blacks, and reds...or do I need to keep her whites and soft pinks and things separate?

most things survive if you wash them on cold. And you'll probably be ok since things have probably gone through a wash or two before but I tend to keep my kid's laundry sorted Darks, lights, and whites. Then I don't have to worry about any ooops
i love the pink!!!! i'm so glad to see it on her. keep her a girl...until she chooses to wear her brothers clothes. :) RR ps the purple striped one would be my choice of jammies!
OH Gosh! I love it!! After years of sports and puppy gear-- how could you not get a few girly things??????? AK
Hmmm..I'd keep her stuff separate. I agree with another post about the darks/middles/whites. If they're kinda alike, try one of those Shout color catcher sheets? Just a thought...
I don't have any laundry advice on the girls versus boys clothing, but those pinks and purples are so sweet! So happy for you and your girl.
Piles of girl clothing = SWEET! :o)
Love that you went 2nd hand shopping, so smart!!! If I go for a third I am tempted to be "surprised" instead of finding out during the ultrasound like I did with my sons:)
I have b/g twins and I have never had an issue washing their things together. I only used cold water, but never an issue at all. It might be an issue if you use different detergent...you know...that whole newborns have sensitive skin thing, right?
