Magically delicious...
Some mornings are cereal mornings. And to have a pantry with some choices makes it that much more fun for my boys. So occasionally when we grocery shop I let them to wander the entire row of cereal and pick any one box of cereal. I am never let down...they always pick one that advertises some toy or prize...most of which aren't included in the box anymore. They never rationalize the prize as not being in the box or being dinky and worthless - and on the trips when I let them pick any box I don't argue. Instead, I watch as they excitedly pick up different boxes announcing that they want "dis one mama?" And when I say, "If that is what you want..." then they hesitate and put it back. They hug those boxes for the rest of the shopping trip ...which also means they aren't grabbing other end aisle attractions.
Other mornings we indulge in mama's home cooking. The boys love having eggs, pancakes, or waffles and I actually find peace in making them a yummy hot breakfast. And it really doesn't take any extra time...because I have found Lucky Charms marshmallows are a pain in the hoo-haa to clean off little bodies and furniture.
Breakfast is their big meal. No matter what they are eating - they fill up those bellies for full days of fun!
What breakfast gets you going in the morning?

hmm i tried leaving a comment already! i used to eat lucky charms when i was little. now i like something with flakes and nuts!! haha. i also love a really good soft bagel but i don't do that too often. your waffles look delicious sarah!! RR
I eat eggs almost every day for breakfast so Eli eats that pretty often usually in conjunction with something else (yogurt, cereal, toast, waffle, oatmeal) & a piece of fruit. He eats A LOT in the morning too :) And he LOVES when I make him "E' shaped pancakes. :) They usually turn out pretty sad looking but he thinks they are fantastic!
I am really bad when it comes to good breakfasts. The kids usually go with a bowl of cereal and their little gummy vitamins. I then dink around and don't eat til 10:00. For some reason I just can stomach food too early in the morning. The only time we have waffles or pancakes and eggs is when we decide to have "breakfast for dinner." That waffle picture you took though is making me hungry.
pain in the hoo-ha. I snorted. too funny.
Right now we're in the stage where Samara refuses to eat pretty much anything...except pancakes. So every few days I make a big batch so that she at least starts off the day with a decent meal.
Oh, and with me being pregnant...indulging in pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast every morning? Gotta say, not the worst thing in the world!
