Summer boy shoes
Recently, we got Charley his summer shoes. He had some of these cool black Sketchers that I HATED from the moment we bought them. But it was all I could find at the time and every kid LOVES Sketchers...even Henry knows they are "cool" because: "Charley's shoe cool. on tv." This is the big reason I don't like them. I don't want to feed into the commerical impact and Charley had been asking for them. These new shoes that he has have no meaning to him...except that they make him jump REALLY high and run REALLY SUPER fast. And as a five year old I think these two criteria are the only two that need to be met...along with fit.
I have always enjoyed shoe shopping with my boys. Charley loves shoe shopping. He is all about trying them on. Anyways, I like to get my boys fun shoes - they are boys - there isn't much you can do with their fashion. But, I do think these new ones bring it all together...love that there isn't velcro or ties, the green is bright and fast, and heck, they match his bike....
It is all coming together. We are ready for summer - where ever it should lead - Charley will be skipping along in these cool shoes.
And Henry....this is what he is scooting around in these days...Can't not chuckle at a 2 year old in Chuck Taylors!

Love the chucks!!!
I'm not a fan of Sketchers! My daughter talked me into not 1, but 2 pairs. For the price we paid I expected them to last a lot longer than they did!
I love the Chucks! My son needs new shoes. Maybe we'll get him some of those!
Cute post Sarah!! Love that Charley can run faster and jump higher! Reminds me of when I would get new shoes for school! I would show everyone how fast I could run. My parents have videos of it. Funny how kids minds work when it comes to something like shoes!!!
I adore those Chucks, just adore them. Summer shoes are fun! I did the same thing!
Eli has a pair of chucks. they are a little big. they aren't authentic either but they are still cute :)RR
Tommy has the same pair as Henry. They are so cute, but so hard to get on his fat feet! He insists on wearing them when he sees them so we hide them during the week as to not torture Kiki (day care).
