The description of the need to take a breath and capture what you have as the mother of a young child by Anna Quindlin is wonderful. I am going to try and remember that and do a better job of focusing on the moment rather than the tasks to be done. So thank you.
What a lovely quote. Anna Quindlen has certainly captured the voice of a generation of mothers with this one. Living in the now, being present in the now, being ready to embrace the good stuff is what we all are so heavily focused on. I have to HAVE to believe, however, that we will, in fact, remember. Maybe not the details, but the feeling. The feeling of love we had for our children at those young ages. The fact that we can look back on our lives and say YES to what they were and what they are now and what they are fast becoming is a beautiful thing.
