However, we keep the ladder side pushed up against the wall (it is attached on top and bottom to the beds) so it cannot be used. My older son is able to scale the footboards to get to his top bunk but my little one is not able to do that. My toddler is so crazy I had visions of him climbing up to the top bunk and jumping off, so it will likely be a few more years before we turn the beds so the ladder can be used. And, there is no easy way to change the sheets! It's terrible, but because of that my top bunk kid gets his sheets changed more like once every 2 weeks when the rest of the family is on a strict once-a-week sheet change schedule! It Feels Like Chaoshttp://itfeelslikechaos.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2340082987538484299.post-60345258644024697832010-06-24T15:19:00.770-05:002010-06-24T15:19:00.770-05:00Well, I am in the minority here, but my son is not...Well, I am in the minority here, but my son is not quite 4 and he sleeps in the top bunk. (the bottom bunk is just used for an extra bed for grandma at this point). The bunk beds we got have a side rail on the top so it'd be pretty tough for him to fall out. He loves it.

Changing the sheets is a pain though. I actually have to get up in the bed and do it because I'm so short.CBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06404473089699496809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2340082987538484299.post-21645621783984862352010-06-24T14:09:52.000-05:002010-06-24T14:09:52.000-05:00"Grace in small things." It is also what I had read when we considered them.
